The 10th European Film Festival has commenced at Park Bulvar AVM.
From now until October 16, the Azerbaijani audience will have the opportunity to view 15 films from 14 European Union countries and Azerbaijan at the festival, organized by the Park Cinema chain of cinemas and the representation office of Azerbaijan in the European Union. Kestutis Jankauskas, the head of the European Union Representation in Azerbaijan, inaugurated the event with an opening speech and expressed how rewarding it is to witness people's interest in European films and culture. This is a great way for us to get to know each other and establish cooperation. Viktor Sederkenyi, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan, delivered a speech in which he expressed his pride in being the first to present a Hungarian film at the festival. The festival commenced with the screening of the film "Son of Saul." The festival will feature films presented to the audience by directors from various EU countries, including Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden. Admission to the festival is free of charge. As part of the festival, there will also be discussions and meetings with some of the film directors.
