Gobustan photo exhibition in Park Bulvar
As part of our efforts to promote the Gobustan monuments, a photo exhibition showcasing these historical treasures was hosted at the Park Bulvar Shopping Center. The exhibition featured photographs captured by the talented photographer Emil Khalilov, and these images garnered significant interest and appreciation from the public. The Gobustan National Historical-Artistic Reserve is situated in the Gobustan settlement of the Garadagh district, approximately 55 kilometers from Baku. There is a museum as well. The Gobustan National Historical-Artistic Reserve predominantly showcases Mesolithic (Middle Stone Age) monuments and holds a unique status among the few similar monuments worldwide, owing to its wealth of rock paintings. The Gobustan Reserve encompasses five mountains - Boyukdash, Kichikdash, Cingirdag, Shangardag, and Shikhgaya, along with 20 cave dwellings, 40 burial mounds, and over 6,000 rock paintings dating from the Stone Age and subsequent eras, all of which serve as witnesses to our historical heritage. Emil Khalilov's photographs have provided illumination on these priceless remnants of our history. The exhibition, commemorating the International Day of Museums, remained open for viewing until May 19.
